How to Volunteer

Volunteer for a Rebuilding Together workday, and you’ll get a free T-shirt, lunch, our thanks . . . and a great feeling of accomplishment!

If you have special skills, we can use your help. Carpenters, electricians, plumbers and other skilled tradespeople are always needed. But other willing hands and hearts are also welcome! To volunteer on a workday, you should be:

• At least 16 years of age.

• Willing to donate an entire Saturday to the project

You may also serve as a . . .

House captain. Manage the project by coordinating all the aspects of repair on one home on the workday. Serves as the project foreman or director.

Volunteer coordinator. Help recruit and /or organize the volunteers needed to work on one home.

Emergency volunteer. Work on emergency projects during the year, as needed.

Committee member. Support our mission by becoming involved on committees that prepare for workdays, select projects, manage volunteers, promote and publicize our work, raise funds, etc. There’s lots of ways to get involved!

Board member. Help steer our organization throughout the year with your time and expertise.
