RTQC Volunteers improve Health and
Safety of a home in Moline
Pat’s daughter applied to RTQC on her mother’s behalf. Significant water damage had compromised her bathroom floor to the extent that the toilet and vanity were about ready to go through the floor. RTQC volunteers replaced 4 flooring layers, put in a brand new toilet, installed grab bars, replaced the flooring, and addressed plumbing issues in the shower.
After repairing the bathroom, it was onto the kitchen. RTQC volunteers shortened a cabinet over the refrigerator, replaced the ceiling fixture covering up exposed wiring, installed a new faucet and traps in sink.
As part of Rebuiding Together Quad Cities Safe and Healthy Housing program, RTQC also replaced burned out lights and installed new carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.
