How to Apply for Help

Whether you’re a homeowner yourself, or know of a client or neighbor who could use our help, please apply now.

In at least two workdays per year, our volunteers repair conventionally-built homes for people who, due to financial hardship, age, and/or disability, cannot do the work themselves. Repairs are free to the homeowner. Able-bodied family members over age 16 are expected to volunteer their time and labor.

Among other considerations, the homeowner must:

• Own and live in the home.
• Meet the income guidelines on the application.
• Provide proof of homeowner’s insurance.
• Complete and return our two-page form.
• Meet with project managers who coordinate the repairs.

All information supplied is confidential.

As you apply, please keep in mind that . . .

Most of our work happens in one day. Major structural repairs usually aren’t practical. Limited time and resources mean we may not be able to accomplish every project that you request. Our top priorities are repairs that enhance safety or comfort, or that help you live more independently.

We select projects based on greatest need and our ability to accomplish the repairs. If your home is selected, you will be notified by letter.
