How We Help the Community

For some elderly and disabled homeowners in the Quad Cities, home repairs are physically impossible. For others, restricted incomes also restrict their ability to maintain their aging homes. Still more could safely age in place, with just a few practical home modifications.

Rebuilding Together Quad Cities is ready to help.

Our volunteers provide free repairs, maintenance and home modifications to needy homeowners. Rebuilding Together helps low-income elderly and disabled homeowners live in warmth, safety and independence. Our non-profit services also provide safer housing for low-income families with children.

Rebuilding Over 500 Homes Since 1990

We began in 1990 as Hearts and Hammers QCA. In May 2001, we changed our name to Rebuilding Together Quad Cities to better reflect our mission of working together to rebuild homes, communities, and lives.

We are affiliated with a national organization, also known as Rebuilding Together. We work to unite people of all backgrounds in a voluntary effort to provide home repairs for elderly, disabled, and low-income homeowners at no cost.

By 2010, the nation will hold 28 million low-income homeowners With local affiliates in 770 cities and all 50 states, Rebuilding Together is the nation’s largest volunteer organization preserving and revitalizing low-income houses and communities.
